Trophy support has been confirmed for a number of classic PlayStation games being made available alongside the launch of the new PS Plus subscription service.

Last week Sony’s Bend Studio revealed that it was adding trophies for Syphon Filter to coincide with the arrival of the revamped PS Plus service, which debuted on Monday in Asian markets excluding Japan.

Now that the service is live, achievement tracking website Exophase has shown that a number of other games have also added trophy support including Ape Escape, I.Q.: Intelligent Qube, Hot Shots Golf and Wild Arms.

Introducing the all-new PlayStation Plus | PS5 & PS4 Games

Sony hasn’t said whether classic games added to the service are required to support trophies, or if it’s up to developers if they want to add support.

The company recently confirmed a partial list of games that will be made available as part of the new PS Plus service.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers will offer a library of PS4 and PS5 games that include Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Demon’s Souls, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut and NBA 2K22.

As well as first-party titles Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf and Syphon Filter, some of the PSOne and PSP games coming to the Premium tier include third-party games like Mr. Driller and Tekken 2.

Select PSOne and PSP games sport a new user interface with menus that allow players to save their game at any time, or rewind gameplay, as shown in a video released earlier on Monday.

Players who have previously purchased the digital version of games from the PSOne and PSP generations will not have to make a separate purchase or sign up to PS Plus to play these titles on PS4 or PS5.

Additionally, some remastered classics from previous console generations will be added to the Premium plan, such as Siren and Jak 2.
