Ubisoft will reportedly announce several Assassin’s Creed games during a product showcase this weekend.

The publisher has for months been teasing plans to “unveil the future of Assassin’s Creed” during Ubisoft Forward, which is taking place on September 10, and details of its plans have now seemingly leaked from multiple sources including Bloomberg and Try Hard Guides.

In addition to the already confirmed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it’s claimed Ubisoft will use the event to reveal two major series entries and a mobile game.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Forgotten Saga – Launch Trailer

The two big announcements will be a part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a large-scale collaboration between Ubisoft’s Quebec (Odyssey) and Montreal (Origins and Valhalla) studios that will reportedly serve as a platform for multiple games with different settings.

The first, codenamed Red and developed by Quebec, is said to take place in feudal Japan. Montreal’s title, which is codenamed Neo or Hexe, reportedly revolves around witch trials during the latter stages of the Holy Roman Empire.

While Assassin’s Creed Infinity isn’t expected to launch until 2024 at the earliest, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is reportedly planned for release in spring 2023.

Bloomberg first reported in February that Ubisoft was planning to release a smaller-scale, stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed game that is closer to the early series entries than the more recent RPG-influenced ones.

Starring Assassin’s Creed Valhalla character Basim, the title was originally planned as an expansion for the most recent series entry before being spun into a standalone game last year, it claimed.

It’s reportedly set in Baghdad during the 800s, with development being led by Ubisoft’s Bordeaux studio.
