Deathloop voice actor Jason E. Kelley has teased a new project.

On Tuesday the actor posted an image on Twitter showing him in a voice acting booth and captioned it: “Oooooooooo! Cannot wait to share what this one is. #backinthelab #voiceacting #games #vo #deathloop #coltjustcolt #baftagames”.

When asked by a follower if Kelley was recording dialogue for Deathloop DLC, the actor responded; “Nooope. New title. That’s all I can say… nda.”

While this appears to shut down any hope of potential Deathloop DLC, it could be possible that Kelley is playing Colt in a new spin-off title in the Deathloop universe, or even potential additional content for the upcoming Xbox version.

Both Dishonored 2 and Prey received significant post-release expansions, with Dishonored 2’s Death of the Outsider eventually being spun out into its own release.

Prey’s first expansion, Mooncrash, was released just over one year following the release of the base game. Death of the Outsider, which was designed by Deathloop creative director Dinga Bakaba, was released less than a year after Dishonored 2.

DEATHLOOP – Official Story Trailer: Down the Rabbit Hole

While Deathloop is currently a PlayStation 5 exclusive thanks to a deal with Id Software that preceded its acquisition by Microsoft, it’s expected that the game will come to Xbox platforms one year from launch, which is September 14, 2023.

It’s possible that if Kelley is reprising Colt in a new project that this could debut in conjunction with that version of the game, which is expected to join Xbox Game Pass at launch.

In VGC’s 5-star Deathloop review, critic Jon Bailes called the title “one of the smartest and most outright entertaining games of the year.”
