In the earlier days there were consoles like Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. Every platform had their own professional wrestling video games, unlike these days where every platform gets the same game. The games that the kids from the mentioned time period grew up playing where some of the best video games based on professional wrestling ever made. There were some multi platform games to like WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game, WWF War Zone and WWF Attitude. PlayStation had the WWF Smackdown games, Dreamcast had Royal Rumble. Nintendo 64 had the most of the wrestling video games. They had all WWF, WCW and even ECW games.

Among these games, WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy, WCW/NWO Revenge, WCW vs. NWO World Tour, ECW Hardcore Revolution are some of the best wrestling games on the Nintendo 64. But if only one game has to be selected among these games, it has to be the WWF No Mercy, which is considered as the best ever wrestling video game ever produced.

“Between [WrestleMania 2000] and No Mercy, and they’re two incredibly similar games as well. There is a part of me, and again, there are certain aspects – I do feel like No Mercy honed in on what made WrestleMania 2000 so special and kind of perfected it.

“That initial playtime with WrestleMania 2000 was so legendary that it’s like, ‘Maybe that one deserves all the credit.’ Then WCW vs. nWo [World Tour], that one was really good.”
