Gameplay footage from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has leaked online, ahead of the game’s release.

Players who have been getting the game early have been sharing footage on Reddit and YouTube.

One user in particular has uploaded more than an hour of footage spanning all three games.

Rockstar itself has still yet to release official gameplay footage, as all its promotional material for the game so far has been limited to cutscenes.

This includes a series of animated GIFs the publisher released yesterday to help build hype for the game.

The new footage, however, shows the actual game in action, highlighting the differences made, such as the inclusion of the weapon wheel from later GTA games.

The Definitive Edition, which includes remasters of PS2 games GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas, is available to pre-load now on consoles and launches digitally at 7am ET / 10am ET / 3pm GMT on November 11 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher.

According to Rockstar, GTA: The Trilogy will feature “across-the-board upgrades” including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while “still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals”.

The Definitive Edition introduces modern control upgrades, updated Weapon and Radio Station Wheels, updated Mini-Maps with enhanced navigation, updated Achievements, Trophies, and more, according to the game’s official website.

The Nintendo Switch version also features Switch-specific controls including Gyro aiming, as well as touch screen camera zooming, pans, and menu selections, while the PC version includes support for NVIDIA DLSS and additional new Accomplishments via the Rockstar Games Social Club.

Rockstar recently confirmed that some of the individual games from Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will be made available on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now.

The Definitive Edition version of GTA: San Andreas will join Xbox Game Pass starting on November 11, while PlayStation Now subscribers will get access to the Definitive Edition version of GTA III starting December 7.

Those who purchase the game through Rockstar’s online store or the Rockstar Games Launcher by January 5, 2022, will receive a $10 discount on their next purchase through the same marketplaces.
